While the Dodgers battled Atlanta in the first round of the MLB postseason, Angelenos briefly turned their attention toward a different ball game.
Will Rogers State Historic Park
Hollywood and those associated flocked to the fields at Will Rogers State Historic Park for the fourth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. Sunny skies poured over the Pacific Palisades park, emulating the Veuve that flowed freely into glasses all over the grounds. Kicking off the chic affair, actress Ashley Madekwe delicately completed the ceremonial first toss. Photographer Charley Gallay clicked (or should we say Clicquot?) the snapshot with a Nikon D4. “The natural light was perfect,” he says. “I loved the positioning of the horses ready to play, Ashley throwing out the ball and the polo spectators on the sidelines watching the match.” Cheers to that.
