Full of Grace

Set to sound off in the Southland, Lisa Marie Presley, the first daughter of rock ‘n’ roll, will bring her own brand of Americana to the El Rey Theatre on Sept. 1 by way of her third album, the edgy, blues-fueled Storm & Grace—a record that didn’t come easy.

Lisa Marie Presley brings her sultry style to the El Rey Theatre on Sept. 1.

“I went through a lot over the last few years that comes out through the music,” says Presley of the moody, Southern folk effort. The deeply personal album—most of it created in collaboration with famed producer/guitarist T Bone Burnett—features tracks like the seductive lead single “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet,” giving listeners a rare glimpse into Presley’s creative and private worlds. So what can you expect from a show by Elvis’ offspring? Start with a woman on her own terms. “I keep it simple,” she says. “It’s just me and my band and a tambourine. If you like the record then you’ll connect with my performances.” Tickets from $25. 5515 Wilshire Blvd., L.A., 800.745.3000, ticketmaster.‌com
