Kendall Conrad’s L.A.

Kendall Conrad has a thoroughly Californian sensibility due to a childhood spent in S.F. and Santa Barbara, but her father’s years as a bullfighter in Spain inspired her love of leather. Ten years ago Conrad launched Tauro, her line of artisanal bags and since then she’s added an eponymous line of clutches, weekenders and solid brass jewelry. This spring Conrad introduces gray snakeskin bags inspired by the colors of the coastal beaches at her Rincon Point family home. She stocks them at her boutique in the Brentwood Country Mart, just steps away from one of her favorite L.A. haunts. Here are a few more.
1. The Ace Gallery’s scale (5514 Wilshire Blvd., L.A., 323.935.4411, acegallery.net) is ideal for the Charles Fine show, up through June.
3. I relax the minute I walk inside L’Oeil Du Vert studio (by appointment only, 310.490.1607, loeilduvert.com) in Santa Monica, with its gorgeous scents and hydrosol water.
4. The Hollywood Bowl (2301 N. Highland Ave., L.A. 323.850.2000, hollywoodbowl.com) is a beautiful venue for music. I am so excited to see Sergio Mendes and Herb Alpert.
5. I love Farmshop (225 26th St., Santa Monica, 310.566.2400, farmshopla.com) in the Brentwood Country Mart for brunch. It’s delicious, fresh and healthy.
