Outposts of major fashion houses are sprouting up throughout the Hamptons. This summer, be sure to catch these style staples while you can.
In just two years, Tory Burch’s ex-husband Chris has taken the fashion world by storm with his bold colors and minimalist styles. A Hamptons favorite last summer, the brand reappears in Southampton and East Hampton through September with two temporary shops, which offer monogramming services and convenient mobile checkout. Be sure to check out C. Wonder’s trademark city-chic bicycles and convenient carry-all totes. 5 Main St., Southampton, 631.287.2645; 48 Main St., East Hampton, 631.287.8513, cwonder.com
Isaac Mizrahi—declared “fashion’s consummate showman” by The New York Times earlier this year—has collaborated with such diverse fashion houses and labels as Chanel, Liz Claiborne and even Target. Now, his eponymous brand makes its Hamptons debut with this pop-up shop, which will carry the designer’s clothing, accessories and fragrance for women. 44 Main St., Southampton, 631.237.2327, isaacmizrahiny.com
For the second time, Joe Fresh appears for a short spell on Hamptons streets. Perhaps best known for its affordable, minimalist styles, this shop will also feature several exclusive events ranging from bike rentals to hula-hoop loans to a local arts showcase. Keep your eyes peeled for perfect summer fashion and special events, as Joe Fresh will only grace Southampton until Labor Day. 66 Jobs Lane, Southampton, 631.287.7982, joefresh.com
The Brooklyn-based boutique Bird features an eclectic range of designers for men and women alike—owner Jen Mankins cut her fashion teeth as a Barneys New York assistant buyer. This summer through September 1, she brings her couture sensibilities to the Hamptons with Beach Bird, which will feature pieces inspired by its seashore surroundings rather than its Brooklyn outposts. 183 North Ferry Rd., Shelter Island, 631.749.5763, shopbird.com
Rebecca Minkoff at the Beach
Continuing her partnership with Solé East Resort, Rebecca Minkoff brings her effortlessly cool style back to the Hamptons just in time for summer. Located inside the hotel, the shop carries small goods from the summer 2013 collection—shoes, sunglasses, leather goods and handbags, all perfect for a day at the beach or a night on the town. 90 Second House Rd., Montauk, 631.668.2105, rebeccaminkoff.com
