Bridal Sign Up

Katie Schick & Chris Gray

March 23, 2013 | The Villa San Juan Capistrano

Katie stunned in a lace and organza Watters gown from The White Dress in Corona del Mar. Chris scored his sharp suit from Theory.

Guests sipped Lover’s Lemonade.

Tablescapes were rustic glam with birchwood and mercury glass.

Chris’s aunt baked a gluten-free cake for the bride and groom.

Beacon Lane designed the invitations, programs and place cards.

Katie and Chris met through an unlikely matchmaker: Chris’s mother, who also happens to be Katie’s co-worker. Four years later, Chris proposed over a picnic in the Santa Ynez Mountains.
The couple kept things classic with a neutral color palette and vintage-inspired decor, leaving the reception in a 1939 Rolls-Royce Packard.
Iva Lee’s Catering dished up Southern-style food, including bourbon-braised short ribs over South Carolina creamy grits. The couple’s first dance song was also a little bit country: “Pistol” by Orange County musician Dustin Kensrue.
