Bridal Sign Up

Megan Lim & Trevor Blair

August 10, 2013 | San Diego Central Library

Megan chose an elegant Elizabeth Fillmore Simone gown in ivory, purchased at M Bride in La Jolla, while Trevor donned a blue sharkskin suit by Tommy Hilfiger.

Megan designed black, white and red programs.

The new Central Library’s stunning glass facade provided an interesting backdrop for the cocktail hour.

As a nod to the couple’s first official date on National S’mores Day, they chose a s’mores-themed cake by Sweet Cheeks Baking. The custom topper of Megan and Trevor toasting marshmallows was made by Taylor Zitman.

Three centerpiece designs—this table featured flower-filled terrariums—paired well with navy linens and red chairs.

The Couple
Avid community advocates, Megan and Trevor were set up by the groom’s godmother at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest’s annual dinner, but didn’t reconnect until 18 months later at a political fundraiser. Two years later, Trevor proposed on San Francisco’s Mount Tamalpais.

The Details

Megan is director of development for the San Diego Public Library Foundation, and chose the brand-new Central Library as the venue. The couple’s wedding was the first in the building.

The Party
After guests gathered for dinner and wine pairings in the Reading Room, the couple danced to Alison Krauss’ “When You Say Nothing at All.” Later on, guests danced the night away to the sounds of Tim Altbaum Productions, staying nourished with late- night bites of chicken sliders and cake balls.
