Bridal Sign Up

Nicole Tamara Vaz & Gerardo Huerta Jr.

July 7, 2012 | Bacara Resort & Spa, Goleta

When they started working together, Huerta found every opportunity to chat with Vaz.

Dolce Designs Studio designed boutonnières with pink garden roses accented with black satin ribbon ties.

The bride chose a Snow White dress designed by Alfred Angelo as part of the Disney Fairy Tale Bridal collection from Kay’s Bridal in Simi Valley.

Vaz’s toy maltepoo, Scout, dressed up for the special occasion.

The bride wove her favorite color, pink, into her wedding and even into her look for the day, which also included rose-toned sandals.

Tables were named with words that the couple thought were keys to a successful marriage.

The Couple
After a brief meeting in her parents’ backyard during a barbecue for their company, housing developer AMCAL, the accounting manager (Vaz) and construction manager (Huerta Jr.) started dating when the two began working together there.

The Venue
The couple decided to hold the wedding at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Goleta because the bride’s family has been vacationing in the nearby seaside town of Santa Barbara since she was a child.

The Details
As a nod to Huerta’s heritage, the cocktail hour was Mexican-themed, complete with the Luna Gitana flamenco quartet and a top-shelf tequila bar.

The Party
Planner Mary Litzsinger of VP Events incorporated the bride’s favorite color, pink, into romantic elements visible in the floral bouquets, boutonnières and centerpieces, and assorted candies arranged as part of the dessert bar.
