On the Move

Footcandy’s Carolyn and Perry Butler are sweetening the bachelorette party circuit with a new mobile shoe shop.

Carolyn and Perry Butler, whose Footcandy shops in St. Helena and Sonoma single-handedly added the words Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin to the otherwise terroir-obsessed vocabulary of wine country, have gone mobile. And though the company website is a thing of beauty for the shoe-obsessed, this new launch is anything but virtual. The Butlers’ Footcandy Mobile Boutique is an RV kitted out in the shop’s famed pink-and-white-stripe pattern and stocked with shoes, iPads for special orders and a driver (who also happens to be a trained airplane pilot). The bachelorette party truly becomes a movable feast aboard this vehicle. “It can be delivered to any West Coast location and stocked with the bride’s favorite designers,” says Carolyn. “Or girls can go wine tasting and try on shoes inside as they’re driven around Napa or Sonoma.” And, after 10 years in the business, Carolyn is launching two Footcandy wedding shoes that can be found aboard the roving shop. Being a bride—or bridesmaid—just got so much more stylish. Footcandy Mobile Boutique, 877.517.4606, footcandyshoes.‌com
