Ready-to-wear designers branch into bridal with breathtakingly modern results.

The storied Madrid-based brand made a huge splash last season with a ready-to-wear relaunch. This spring, Creative Director Josep Font has brought his enchanting approach to the label’s first bridal collection. With relaxed silhouettes, as well as unexpected volumes and couture-level details, Font notes, “Each dress has its own special character.”

Naeem Khan
Starlets like Taylor Swift and Emmy Rossum, and even the first lady herself, turn to Naeem Khan for his dazzling designs. This season, the designer brings his penchant for creating wow moments to a stunning new bridal collection full of lace, intricate embroidery and exquisite beadwork. Ultimate Bride, 312.337.6300

Sophia Kokosalaki
Citing inspirations of sea waves, classical antiquity and famous haute couture moments of the 1930s and ’50s, Sophia Kokosalaki strives to inject “modernity and relevance in the dresses.” Her masterly hand at tailoring and draping has been praised since her first ready-to-wear presentation, and is especially evident in this spring’s supremely romantic bridal collection.

Viktor & Rolf
Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren are no strangers to ruffles and bows. Their fascination with weddingwear has now come to full fruition with Marriage, a capsule collection of nontraditional bridal styles launching with Resort 2014. Key styles reveal their avant-garde vision, including a long dress with a multitude of bows boldly running down the spine, a shirtdress with floor-length hem, and an open-back stretch crepe jumpsuit.
