Bridal Sign Up

Lauren Holland & Brian Splitt

May 16, 2012 | Taylor & Co.

Brian and Lauren embracing by Buckingham Fountain on their big day. Lauren opted for a Lazaro trumpet gown from Macy’s Bridal Salon and earrings designed by her wedding planner and friend Derrick Taylor.

The ceremony aisle was flanked by Swarovski crystal chandeliers and matching candelabras offset by Costa Rican palm fronds.

The Couple
During the great 2011 Chicago blizzard, Brian proposed. “We were sitting on the sofa watching the snow fall,” says Lauren. “That’s when he gave me my ‘ice,’ during the snowpocalypse.”

The Details
For the inaugural wedding at Taylor & Co.’s new West Loop warehouse space, planner Derrick Taylor and the bride (friends from their days at Harrington College of Design) collaborated on the decor. Paramount Events made the May menu.

The Party
Red Weddings spun fun party mixes into the night, including the couple’s first dance song: “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri.
