Bridal Sign Up

Marisa Fiorito & Matt McCormick

Aug. 25, 2012 | Camp Kupugani, Leaf River, Ill.

Marisa looked timeless in a gown by Robert Bullock from Weddings 826. Matt opted for dress pants and a matching vest from J.Crew. The bride made her own paper bouquet and coordinating groom’s boutonnière.

The couple
After their first date at Bite Cafe in Ukrainian Village, Matt couldn’t wait to propose to Marisa on Christmas Eve in front of his entire family.

The details
The camp-themed wedding included everything from shared cabins to a trail mix bar to origami flowers made out of recycled book pages in honor of the bride’s profession (she’s a librarian!). The Hearty Boys catered the event, circulating comfort food hors d’oeuvres and a decadent dinner buffet.

The party
Friends of the bride and groom sang “Heavenly Day” by Patty Griffin for the couple’s first dance. Cork n’ Bottle String Band played “Kooks” by David Bowie for the mother/father dance.
