Candice da Costa & Sanjeev Pany

February 22, 2014 | Chateau Polonez

Sanjeev and Candice hosted several celebrations of their nuptials, including a traditional Hindu ceremony. For the separate Catholic ceremony, Candice wore a champagne Maggie Sottero gown with gold Badgley Mischka heels.

Samantha Darr of Soireebliss Events utilized a fun but romantic palette of lavender, blush, fuchsia and gold throughout the venue.

Acadian Bakery crafted a hazelnut cake with fresh strawberry filling—and Candice’s pup made an appearance as the topper!

Candice showed off the henna that was applied to her hands during the Mehndi ritual several days prior to the back-to-back wedding ceremonies. “I had my husband’s name hidden in the design,” she says.

During the Talambralu celebration, the couple showered each other with rice and flowers to yield a happy marriage.

The couple toasted at a reception at Chateau Polonez following two days of ceremonies.

The Couple
Sanjeev and Candice were friends for a year before their first date. “He showed up on my doorstep with a box of chocolates and treats for my dog, Einstein,” says Candice. “He instantly won me over.”

The Details
Per Hindu tradition, the couple had a Mehndi ceremony days before the wedding. The following weekend, Sanjeev and Candice held both Hindu and Catholic ceremonies, in addition to a lavish reception at Chateau Polonez.

The Party
The colorful celebrations included bites from Bombay Brasserie and stunning tablescapes from Floral Events and Elegant Beginnings.
