Bridal Sign Up

Rachel Prince & James Suliburk

October 25, 2013 | Hotel ZaZa

James and Rachel were married at the Hotel ZaZa in Houston’s erdant Museum District. The groom wore a custom tuxedo by om James and had the wedding date embroidered on the acket liner.

Susie’s Cakes created a classic four-tier cake with a bling-bedecked base and monogrammed infinity topper.

The bride designed her Jay Freedman ring at Jonathan’s Jewelers.

Rachel gifted her groom with a Cartier watch.

The bride wore a Liancarlo gown from Ivory Bridal Atelier for the ceremony, and changed into a Sherri Hill frock for the reception.

Hotel ZaZa catered a seated dinner, set atop a table dressed in arrangements of fuchsia and purple hydrangeas, roses, lisianthus and orchids.

The Couple
Rachel, a nursing student, and James, an endocrine and trauma surgeon, were introduced at a pool party in 2011, and were engaged in July 2012.

The Details
The bride paired her Liancarlo gown with Swarovski-studded peep-toe platform shoes, which echoed the glitzy and glamorous theme exuded by the tablescapes from Scott Konitzer of Blooming Gallery.

The Party
Guests danced the night away to the Professor D band. Wedding coordinator Danyett Baxter and her team at Two Be Wed thought of every last detail—down to an unexpected send-off with silver Mylar pom-poms in lieu of rice or sparklers!
