The doors aren’t open until April 29 for the Lake Forest Chapter of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago Showhouse & Gardens, but before the big reveal, we’ve got a sneak peek from six top designers. This year’s showhouse was originally designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw, so it’s worthy of this biennial event that takes months of planning and the work of over 30 interior and landscape designers. What room will inspire you the most?

2TO5 DESIGN COACH HOUSE ENTRY AND KITCHEN
When people ask Jodi Morton to define her client base at 2to5 Design, she explains that she works mostly with families, where kids and dogs are a significant priority. “People come to us because our work has a relaxed sense of luxury,” Morton says. “Spaces are meant to be enjoyed and used—not just admired.”

Morton is drawing from her love of travel to outfit the entryway of the coach house. “My family and I spent a couple of summers in Berlin,” says Morton. “I found a book of linocuts by various German illustrators and had them framed. I love their graphic quality, black-and-white contrast and edgy content. They will be perfect against the more subtle, neutral design for the space.”
