Fashionably philanthropic duos decked out in designer duds took to the catwalk during a Valentine’s Day-inspired runway extravaganza at Tootsies.
The second annual “Love’s in Fashion” event, benefiting local nonprofit Dec My Room, was chaired by Dominique Sachse and Nick Florescu and Susan and Mike Plank.
Pairs of pretty people—including Joyce and Hugh Echols, Jana and Richard Fant, Lucinda and Javier Loya, and Joanna Hartland and Brad Marks, who shared a sweet kiss at the end of the runway!—modeled hot looks, including Tootsies frocks for the women.
After the local lovebirds strutted their stuff, hundreds of guests sipped cocktails made with Austin-distilled Deep Eddy’s vodka and savored bites provided by neighboring restaurants Katsuya and Eddie V’s.
A live auction also took place, with proceeds going to Dec My Room, which creates personalized hospital rooms for extended-stay patients at Texas Children’s Cancer Center and other children’s hospitals. The event raised a total of $75,000. Photos by Fulton Davenport with PWL Studios and Daniel Ortiz
