More than 500 guests stepped out in style for the annual black-tie Ballet Ball, which took its cue from the company’s recent production of The Rite of Spring.
The Events Company transformed the Wortham Center foyer into a stunning vision of springtime, featuring tree-recalling centerpieces covered in green, yellow and pink lights and surrounded by flowers.
After a lively cocktail hour, during which guests clamored to catch a glimpse of fashion designer Carolina Herrera, who joined the party to toast close friend and gala honoree Lynn Wyatt, everyone sat for dinner. While savoring a multi-course meal prepared by Tony’s, gala-goers watched as nearly 20 male dancers made their way to the floor, flash-mob-style, to perform an unabashedly sexy number choreographed to Beyoncé’s “Halo” by Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch.
Event chairs Martin and Kelli Cohen Fein—she wore a flowing, floral-print dress designed by Herrera, natch—were thrilled with the evening’s till of $750,000. Photos by Fulton Davenport with PWL Studio
