The exhibit, complete with a 50-foot waterfall and a three-story glass wall, is home to more than 20 species of butterflies that fly free among visitors throughout the simulated rain forest habitat. Pro photographer Andrew Broadfoot had plenty of time to take this shot, as the butterfly seemed to pose for him. “It spent a lot of time on the flower and, at times, would put its entire head inside to steal the nectar,” says Broadfoot, who positioned himself in the atrium-like conservatory as butterflies alighted everywhere. “My wife took a few images of me as the butterflies enjoyed landing on my head.”
