A storm is brewing at the Museum of Modern Art, and visitors are invited to dance beneath the raindrops.

“Rain Room” features falling streams of water that stop whenever a body walks beneath—allowing the audience to experience the instant impact of man’s presence on nature. It’s all part of EXPO 1: New York, a large-scale festival exploring today’s ecological challenges, organized by MoMA PS1. The interactive installation is the largest project to date from the London-based artist collective Random International. “Rain Room” will remain on view through July 28.
