Farmer and the Chef
Foodie and philanthropy enthusiast descended on The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead for an evening fine dining, a live and silent auction, and dancing at the fifth annual March of Dimes The Farmer and The Chef benefit gala.
This year’s event was chaired by Peter Farley, Partner with McGuireWoods, emceed by Alyse Eady of Fox 5 Atlanta, and featured benefit auctioneer Dean Crownover. Guests indulged in a four-course farm-to-table meal prepared by five of Atlanta’s elite chefs.
Guests were treated to decadent dishes created by host chef Franck Steigerwald, Executive Chef - The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead; Pano Karatassos, Executive Chef, Kyma; EJ Hodgkinson, Executive Chef – King + Duke; Matthew Ridgway, Executive Chef, The Southern Gentleman & Gypsy Kitchen; and Troman Felizmenio, Executive Pastry Chef, The Ritz-Carlton,Buckhead. A bidding frenzy/war ensued during the live benefit auction that included vacation packages, sports fan experiences, not to mention one of a kind fine-dining experiences with top chefs the city.
All proceeds from the event support the March of Dimes mission to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
