Locust Roundtables is an ongoing series of open discussion on topics in contemporary art proposed and moderated by members of the art community in Miami and beyond.
Starting in the 16th and 17th centuries, when books were in their nascency, many institutions chained them together due to their value. Seeing a book in chains in the 21st century feels strangely wrong, yet hundreds of years ago it was a viable security system. The Internet as Chained Library will be a presentation and discussion about the internet, the future of the book and how access and information travels. Special attention will also be paid to that which remains hidden in libraries and archives.
