Deed Done

The restaurant plans to donate 10 percent of the day’s sales to Slow Food Miami, a local nonprofit that supports local growers and artisan food makers who use sustainable methods. As for what to order? The Blue’s steak tacos ($13)—made with Myers grass-fed, free-range meat strips folded into organic GMO-free blue corn tortillas—are always a good idea. 701 S. Roots Planted
Since its opening, KYU has always adopted green practices, including sourcing local ingredients and avoiding plastic. Starting on Earth Day, guests have the option to donate toward the restaurant’s goal of planting 6,000 trees for Arbor Day (April 28). Plus, for every guest that comes in to dine on Arbor Day, the restaurant will donate $1 to Trees for the Future. 251 NW 25th St., Miami, 786.577.0150
