Opulent displays of motor power in Miami are nothing new, but when Lamborghini chose the city to unveil its new Aventador LP700-4 Roadster to the world, even the most jaded of car enthusiasts took notice.
Miami International Airport
Looking like the ultimate Lambo man in a navy suit and sunglasses, company president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann was on hand for the special presentation, which culminated with a demonstration of that state-of-the-art Lamborghini engineering when five Aventador models took to the south runway of the Miami International Airport and hit speeds above 210 miles per hour. Said showcase even required special clearance from the Federal Aviation Commission. “It’s a fantastic city with an outstanding lifestyle,” Winkelmann told reporters when asked why he chose Miami for the big reveal. Fast and furious, indeed.
