Spa-tacular Escapes

As the holiday madness is just about to hit full swing, make time to unwind and stay healthy—stylishly, of course. Here, get scoop on the latest spas and treatments to grab our attention.

Luxuriate in style with a spa treatment and a little pool therapy at Honua Kai Resort & Spa.

1. Ho‘ola Spa Maui
Splendor awaits at Ho‘ola Spa Maui, the latest beauty destination on the Kā‘anapali Coast. One highlight is its Himalayan Salt Treatment Room—Maui’s first salt therapy oasis. Guests are surrounded by pristine Himalayan salt crystals, which foster relaxation and induce better breathing. After their spa session, guests can enjoy healthful meals in a poolside cabana. Even better, the spa menu will include outdoor treatments in 2014. Honua Kai Resort & Spa, 130 Kai Malina Parkway, Kā‘anapali, Maui, 662.2800, honuakai.com

2. SpaHalekulani
The elite SpaHalekulani recently introduced two indigenous massages—the Taurumi, a traditional Tahitian practice that uses flowing hand motions to restore the body to a peaceful state, and the Ho‘olele, where therapists use their feet to provide a therapeutic, deep-tissue massage. The spa also started mind-body fitness classes to offer a more spiritual wellness approach. Spa director Kamala Nayeli says the new concept simply respects priorities among today’s guests. Co-owned by the Honolulu Club’s Randy Otto and Jason Drattell of New York’s renowned David Barton Gyms, recent arrival Island Club and Spa, a sophisticated new fitness destination, features top-of-the-line equipment and extensive group classes (kickboxing, Pilates, foam-rolling sessions, Zumba and more), as well as personal training. Tucked inside the sleek Ko‘olani, the gym is outfitted with Nike’s Grind flooring. Plus, there’s a cafe and swanky spa, where members can indulge in massages, body wraps, facials and mani-pedis. 1177 Queen St., Kaka‘ako, 543.3900, islandclubandspa.com

5. The Spa at Black Rock
The spa relies on the high-end, European skin care line, Éminence Organic—a favorite among celebs—for its treatments.
