Jacqueline M. Wood is the ultimate good-time gal.
The phone call went something like this: “Hi, this is the E! network. We’d like you to host our new show, Party On! Here are the job requirements: In the first season, you’ll have to fly to Hvar, Mykonos, Sardinia, Marrakech, St. Tropez, Ibiza, Istanbul and Marbella, and party hard. Any chance you’re available?”
It took Jacqueline M. Wood—a 26-year-old soap opera actress who spends her off-hours (at least for now) at her Orange County home—“all of a second” to say yes. “I, of course, wanted to travel to exotic destinations, have wild adventures and get paid at the same time,” she says. “What single person under 30 could turn down that offer?”
So Wood—who’s known best for her role as Steffy Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, which won her two Emmy nominations—started jetting around the world with a camera crew in tow, spending an action-packed 48 hours in each destination. “I use social media to reach out to locals to discover some of the best places to visit in each location,” she says. “Viewers get to come along with me for a nonstop ride and an inside look into the best VIP clubs, high-end shopping and extreme activities.”
The Canadian-born beauty who loves to surf Huntington Beach has the nightlife chops to party until 4am, which is when the Party On! shooting usually wraps up. “My party resume is not too shabby,” Wood says. “I’m from Canada, so we start earlier, legally that is. Even before Party On! I was fortunate to venture to some of the best nightclubs in Toronto, L.A., Milan, Monte Carlo and South Africa… [and] I have always loved to dance, even if it’s by myself in the middle of a dance floor.”
And what would Wood’s favorite night in Orange County be like?
“Sushi is my go-to dinner,” she says, “so I would start my perfect night out in Orange County at Maki-Zushi [in Tustin] before rocking the rest of the night away.”
