The Hit List: Glam and Go!

Tans fade in winter weather. Here, a roundup of new resources to keep you glowing.

1. Blushington
Need to look your best for a last-minute meeting or special occasion? Blushington makeup and beauty lounge opens its doors this month at Fashion Island. The popular chain launched in West Hollywood in 2011 and quickly became a destination for celebrities and locals alike because of its easy-everything approach—from lash, brow and makeup services to full makeovers. Choose your look from a menu of options ranging from pure and simple to glamorous, smoky-eyed styles. Sip some bubbly and relax, and in less than 40 minutes you’ll walk out looking like a million bucks. … Getting a facial just got faster and easier.

2. Spade Skin Care & More
The new Spade Skin Care & More at Newport North Center offers a broad spectrum of treatments using all-natural and organic products, and cutting-edge technologies in airbrush and permanent makeup, microdermabrasion and hair removal. Among our faves: the Collagen Production Therapy, a rejuvenating noninvasive procedure that leaves skin looking fresh and radiant.

3. Facialworks
Also new to the beauty scene: Facialworks in Newport’s Westcliff Plaza. It’s the first of its kind in one-stop skin services. Founder Megan Ellis’ unique oxygen facials are served up at a six-chair bar. And with a seasonal menu, there’s always something new to try.

4. Burke Williams’ H2V Spa Gloss
And the beauty brains behind Burke Williams Day Spa in Orange and Mission Viejo has blended together the perfect balance of moisture and luxurious shine in the new H2V Spa Gloss line ($19.50). The paraben-free product comes in three shades—Classic, for a clear shine; Pamper, with a pink-blush tone; and Primp, a plum shade that’s on trend for the season. Designed with rich ingredients, including honey extract and well-combined oils, the glosses give you a plump pout while delivering maximum hydration and sheer perfection.

5. Social Dry Lounge
Here, you can get a blowout and makeup all in one stop, and all while watching fashion shows from around the globe on your own personal iPad. The beauty spot has a full menu of looks—from front-cover styles like you might see on Vogue or Glamour to makeup applications that ranging from glamorous to natural.
