David Campos Gets Kinky

Raises campaign money at a porn studio on May 5th

Damn, we love San Francisco. In what other city in America could a politician hold a fundraiser at a hardcore BDSM porn studio—and have the only questions that face him be the normal, conflict-of-interest ones?

Supervisor David Campos, who is currently running against Supervisor David Chiu for the California state assembly seat of termed out Assemblymember Tom Ammiano, is holding a campaign fundraiser at the Armory site of local pornographers kink.com. For $150, supporters get access to the grip and grin (that's not a dirty phrase—we swear!). For $300, they'll get a tour of the studio, access to a VIP party, and a goodie bag. the contents of which may, in fact, be very NSFPO (Not Safe for Public Office).

Kink, of course, has been making noises that it might relocate to Nevada if a state occupational safety fine is upheld against them for not using condoms in filming their scenes. They've also protested a bill in the state legislature that would require adult performers to wear condoms. In other words, part of what the company is doing with the fundraiser is currying favor with a potential legislator who could affect laws that regulate their business.

Hey, who these perverts think they are? PG&E
