The prospect of a busy chef getting out of the kitchen to brainstorm granola may sound far-fetched, but Nana Joes Granola founder Michelle Pusateri swears that “not one chef looked at me funny or laughed” when she told them about her idea for a chef-inspired line of granola.
Following one-of-a-kind creations from Outerlands and Hapa Ramen, look for this month’s run of rugelach-inspired granola from none other than Wise Sons Delicatessen. After its 250-bag run sells out, a blend with nectarines, cacao nibs, and thyme by former Nopa pastry chef Amy Brown will stock shelves. Consider it a preview of Brown’s currently roving Marla Bakery, set to open a restaurant in Outer Richmond next year. Available here and at Bi-Rite Markets
