An inside look at SoMa's new boho-glam drinking destination
What: A new boho-glam SoMa establishment from the industry vets behind Foreign Cinema and Vessel, Bergerac (316 11th St., near Folsom St.) boasts a walnut and zinc bar run by Russell Davis, who concocts food-friendly drinks to accompany bar bites created by chef Randy Lewis.
Crowd: A fashionable throng alights at hightopped communal tables or sinks into one of the low-slung leather chesterfields to gaze at the showman mixologists behind the bar.
Prices: With cocktails hovering in the $10 range and menu items between $8 and $16, the stage is perfectly set for a graze-a-thon.
Order this: Lewis’s take on a Scotch egg ($8) wraps a custardy egg yolk in tempura-battered blood sausage. Davis suggests his barrelaged Manhattan as its ideal liquid match.
