Five New Stores for Holiday Shopping

Two pop-ups, two Burton locations, plus YSL and Triple Aught Design revivals.
Art.com opens its first-ever pop-up shop, offering giftable books, housewares, and toys in addition to affordable art prints and posters (117 Post St., near Kearny St., through Jan. 15).
After a four-year hiatus, YSL (rechristened Saint Laurent) has unveiled the label’s first stateside men’s-only store in Union Square. It’s high-end rock ’n’ roll garb for the more fashion-daring Varvatos guy: skinny, artfully tattered jeans, leather jackets, shadow-plaid button-downs, and knee-grazing scarves (108 Geary St., Near Grant Ave., 415-765-0975).
Triple Aught Design, the Hayes Valley shop for design-savvy woodsmen, revives its Dogpatch outpost this month. In addition to fleece-lined jackets, camping accessories, and packs, this spot offers classes in land navigation and emergency preparedness (660 22nd St., near 3rd St., 866-613-1386).
Snow-sports brand Burton introduces two stores in one month: a boarding and apparel store in Berkeley and a lifestyle store in the Haight (1630 Haight St., near Clayton St., 415-231-5700), where you’ll find limited-edition artist collaborations (1840 4th St., near Delaware St., 510-240-1160).
Oakland Japanophile trove Umami Mart launches a holiday pop-up in the Perish Trust, bringing a greatest-hits collection of bar sets, glassware, kitchen tools, and art prints. Bonus: free gift-wrapping (728 Divisadero St., near Fulton St., through Dec. 24).
