Fresh Merch: New Arrivals in Stores This Month

Here's what's new in stores this month.

Inspired by tropical birds, Dedon's legless Fedro floor rocker ($715 at Dunkirk, 2 Henry Adams St., near Division St., 415-863-7183) balances comfortably on a pair of narrow skids. Stackable, lightweight, and woven from waterproof fabric, the chair makes an ideal, albeit pricey, backyard lounger.

Online vintage bookseller Book/Shop just opened a Temescal Alley storefront (482 D 49th St., near Telegraph Ave., Oakland, 510-907-9649), selling 20th-century art and literature tomes, new magazines, art, and home furnishings like this Berkeley-built Slotted System Bookcase in walnut or birch (from $149).

Gravel & Gold's in-store label, Gravel and Gold Goods, expands beyond tote bags into hand-printed cotton dresses, tops, and bedding (3266 21st St., at Lexington St., 415-552-0112), including the new Noiz print by Bay Area painter Rachel Kaye (from $80).

Restoration Hardware launches its new Objects of Curiosity Collection—an assemblage of 19th-century cartography, resin sculptures, vintage-inspired clocks, and these illuminated clotches (from $495) pairing chemistry tubes and flasks with filament bulbs (188 Henry Adams St., near Alameda St.), 415-865-0407).

Enjoy the sunny weather this week by lounging in a colorful chair from Dedon or adding a hand-printed dress from Gravel & Gold to your spring wardrobe. For the book lover, venture over to vintage bookseller Book/Shop in Oakland.
