What to do this weekend around the Bay Area.
Berkeley Kite Festival
What: The annual event is back this weekend, featuring team kite ballet, the world's largest octopus kite, and Japanese-style kite battles.
Where: Cesar E. Chavez Park at the Berkeley Marina.
When: July 27th and 28th, 10 AM- 6 PM.
Why: You mean you don't want to see the Berkeley skies filled with kites? Trust us, you do.
Jay Z and Justin Timberlake in Concert
What: Two of today's biggest music stars in concert.
Where: Candlestick Park
When: July 26th, 7:30 PM
Cost: We found seats on Ticketmaster for $276 each. Good luck with that.
Why: Because sexy hasn't been brought all the way back yet.
J Pop Summit Festival
What: A street fair celebrating Japanese pop culture, music, art, anime, fashion, and film.
Where: Post, between Fillmore and Laguna
When: July 27th and 28th, 11 AM- 6 PM.
Cost: Admittance free.
Why: Because you're ready for to find the next Pokemon.
Up Your Alley Fair
What: Much like Folsom, it's a street fair celebrating public floggings, animal masks, and a history of public sex.
Where: Dore Alley
When: July 28th, 11 AM- 6 PM
Cost: By donation.
Why: To test your own limits—and those of our new public nudity ordinance.
