San Francisco Street Food Festival
What: An epic gathering of the most delicious food trucks the Bay Area has to offer.
Where: Folsom Street between 20th and 26th Streets
When: Saturday, August 17 from 11 a.m to 7 p.m.
Cost: FREE (but not the food)
Why: Because you can take a bite of a 4505 Meats burger followed by a bite of a Kung Fu taco followed by a bite of Three Twins ice cream.

Chinatown Ping Pong Festival
What: Table tennis tournament
Where: Portsmouth Square
When: Sunday, August 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost: FREE
Why: Because top-tier table tennis is so much cooler than you'd realize if all you know is games in the basement rec room.

Presidio Kite Festival
What: A celebration of kites.
Where: Main post, the Presidio
When: Saturday, August 17 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cost: FREE
Why: Because the sight of a flying colors against the backdrop of the Presidio would look amazing.
