This month, food and music will vie for your attention on more than one occasion.
At the sixth annual Outside Lands (Aug. 9–11), look for new food stands from Nopalito, Rich Table, and a cast of over 200 other food and drink options to fuel you through three days of live acts. sfoutsidelands.com
A brand-new free food and music festival, 20th St. Block Party (Aug. 24), features indie bands curated by Noise Pop and food from Flour + Water, Asiento, Trick Dog, and other local spots. Musical acts will include indie folk from Two Gallants, the glam Mac DeMarco, and New Orleans dance music from Quinn Deveaux and the Blue Beat Review. 20thstreetblockparty.com
