Ellen Cushing, Senior Editor: This week's This American Life—about drug use from addict-level horribleness to stoned-at-a-baseball-game awesomeness—is TAL at its best: sensitive, funny, smart, non-sanctimonious, tonally varied, deeply affecting, utterly riveting. Sara Deseran, Editor-at-Large: Sunday nights at 5 pm is where I get to channel my inner fly girl at ODC's Old Skool Hip Hop class. Taught by Christiane Crawford (a native San Franciscan from the Mission District—I dare you to get older skooler than that), it's my time to do my moves to the likes of Run DMC and pretend I finally made it into the dance crew of my dreams. 

Gary Kamiya, Executive Editor: The fine literary journal ZYZZYVA is celebrating a major milestone: This week it published its 100th issue. That's an impressive feat for a magazine devoted to deep, thoughtful writing, the kind that runs counter to the mosquito-bite prose that's all too common in the age of blogging, Twitter and page-view whoring. Editors Laura Cogan and Oscar Villalon have put together a first-rate issue, featuring such luminaries as Kay Ryan, Katie Crouch, Elizabeth Tallent, Rebecca Solnit, Paul Madonna, Daniel Handler, and Robert Hass. Highlights include Crouch's expertly crafted meditation on a friend's suicide, juxtaposed against the death of Sylvia Plath; Jim Gavin's poignant tribute to a hack sportswriter; and Daniel Handler's jagged, unnerving short story, "I Hate You." Do your brain a favor and pick up a copy

Scott Lucas, Web Editor: I love the opening essay in SF Weekly's annual Best Of issue. It's unsigned, so I'm assuming that it's a bootleg that Mark Twain knocked it out in his spare time.

Rebecca Marx, Senior Editor: Apricots and cherries at the Ferry Building farmers' market. I bought some yesterday for the first time this season and have all sorts of plans for them.

Adam Brinklow, Editorial Fellow: I've been doing some fact checking for our next print issue, and I found this map from 1869 that says that a large chunk of East Oakland used to be called—wait for it—Brooklyn. Brooklyn. Please, no one tell the New York Times about this.

Sofia Perez, Editorial Intern: Flemish sour ales. Maybe it's the weather or maybe it's the lax, Euro-hipster vibes of Amsterdam Cafe, but the tart 'n perfectly balanced taste of a cold Monk's Cafe Flemish Red, from a seat on the Geary bar's front patio is oh-so-satisfying. "The Oasis of the 'Loin" indeed.

Carly Salzberg, Editorial Intern: "I stumbled on this meetup a couple days ago on Facebook and invited myself in. I'm going to the next one dressed as Wonder Woman."
