Michael Bublé performs at Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night XX.
JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, Phoenix
Celebrity Fight Night XX drew famous faces—Robert De Niro, Billy Crystal, John Paul DeJoria, John Corbett, Joe Torre, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and others—to Phoenix to support Muhammad Ali’s No. 1 cause. The black-tie affair auctioned off items like a space flight and dinners with a few of the celebs to raise $8 million for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute and other charitable causes. The lively bash included performances by Reba McEntire, Kenny Loggins, David Foster, The Band Perry and Michael Bublé, who closed the evening with several hits. Photographer Charley Gallay captured the crooner surrounded by female partygoers who couldn’t help but bust a move. “They allowed all these ladies to come on stage with him, and these ladies were having the time of their lives,” Gallay says. “[Bublé is] kind of a showman. ... His performance up to this point was good, but this seemed to focus him, having all this energy and all these ladies around him.” Looks like Bublé was just as happy to “Save the Last Dance” for Celebrity Fight Night.
