KING + DUKE Host July Supper Club for Atlanta Community Food Bank

Come and enjoy wood-fired, American cuisine at Chef Ford Fry’s newest restaurant King + Duke, while giving back to the community. The Buckhead restaurant will host the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Supper Club fundraiser Tuesday, July 16 from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Supper Club provides diners the pleasure of enjoying a meal at some of Atlanta’s hottest restaurants while supporting hunger relief. Each month a different restaurant serves as host and 20 percent of each diner’s tab for the evening benefits the Food Bank.

King + Duke’s menu, which consist of Bites, Starters, Fish, Fowl and Farm, showcases locally sourced ingredients through simple, yet focused hearth cooking. Executive Chef Joe Schafer uses the hearth and open fire techniques to give his dishes a bold and smoky flavor.

Diners can start their meal off with something from the Bites list, which includes such items as Crispy, Sticky, Smoky Wings; Deviled Eggs with Virginia ham and pickled celery and Crudité with whipped, house ricotta, lemon and toast, or from the Starters, choosing from Wood-Roasted Farm Carrots & Beets, Candied Lamb Belly, Warm Buttered Crab Toast with charred chilies, avocado, and radish or Charred Octopus Salad among other dishes.

Entrées include items like “The Duke,” a burger with house ground chuck and dry aged cuts with coal-roasted onion and fries, Hearth-Roasted Fish of the Moment, Pasture Chicken Leg served with battered potatoes, roasted mushrooms and bacon lardons and chicken jus, and Gum Creek Pork Roast with braised spring Vidalia onions, charred kale and sour cherry. Or bring a friend and share one of the meals for two, such as “The King,” which consists of a one-kilo bone-in rib-eye served with roasted marrow bones and sucrine lettuce salad or the Whole Roast Pasture Chicken served with crusty bread salad and chicken “drippings” vinaigrette.

Diners with a sweet tooth can satisfy that craving with desserts like the Black Forest - chocolate cream cake, smoked cherries, black pepper ice cream, chocolate soil and Kirsch cream, the Dates + Ale – warm sticky toffee pudding with SweetWater IPA cream or even the Sundae Funday - vanilla ice cream, salted caramel, hot fudge, brownie, peanuts and whipped cream.

King + Duke is located at 3060 Peachtree Road NW at W. Paces Ferry, Atlanta, GA 30305.
