Downing Streak!

In town for NBAF Fine Art + Fashion, Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing talks fall fashion predictions.

Ken Downing takes the stage at Neiman Marcus in his signature self-described “mix of school boy meets bad boy style.” When asked about his over-the-shoulder look, he said, “It has been recently coined the ‘editor’s cape,’ as the fashion insiders have embraced my long obsession with the idea.”

“I always love a nod of what’s to come—the mix of multicultural messaging that made news for fall inspired the finale [of the runway show] with overtures to the American Southwest and tribal influences. Pocahontas braids, feathers and abundant jewelry blurred the lines between cultures for a clash of continents and creativity.”
