Radha Chaurushiya & Brian Tilton

September 24, 2011 | Saddlerock Ranch, Malibu

The bride wore an elegant Badgley Mischka gown.

“Appetizers featured the cuisine of Lucknow, India, the childhood home of my grandmother. Shaffer’s Genuine Foods did a wonderful job preparing it spot on,” said Chaurushiya.

The bridesmaids wore custom saris made from a single ream of silk in India, the only way to get seven made to look alike.

The large outdoor space enabled the couple to do the Hindu ceremony including a baraat, as well as a Western ceremony and reception, all in different spots, with no noise or curfew restrictions.

An elaborate dessert buffet took the place of traditional confections.

Traditional red, yellow and orange flowers were used for the Hindu ceremony and mandap decoration.

The Couple
After meeting at their business school’s one-year reunion, the couple now lives and works in NYC and visits their families in Minnesota and California.

The Venue
With the help of wedding planner Michael Willms of Entertainment Design Events, they chose the Malibu ranch and gardens to be close to the bride’s family in Claremont.

The Details
The bride’s mother designed the invitations with hand-drawn Indian and henna motifs as well as images from Saddlerock Ranch.

The Party
Following JG Encore of West Coast Music, DJ Casey Connor spun until a groomsman belted out Billy Joel’s “Piano Man,” at 1:30am.
