Sarah Bergman & Andrew Zenoff

April 28, 2012 | Parker Palm Springs

The bride kept her Carolina Herrera dress, from the L.A. boutique, a secret and surprised the groom with a matching cravat 10 minutes before the wedding.

“The day had a lighthearted whimsy to it all,” says Krista Cremidan of Nouveau Events, who planned the wedding with partner Erin Addison.

“We wanted a magical and playful experience for our friends and family,” Bergman says.

Acrobatic entertainers greeted attendees.

All the guests arrived dressed in white.

Indian prayer shawls were draped over the reception chairs as gifts.

The Couple
Bergman and Zenoff met while studying Hindu devotional music with Jai Uttal. They planned a groovy-chic wedding in less than three months.

The Venue
The free-spirited pair felt at home on the sprawling lawn of the Parker Palm Springs. “We relate to the sense of humor, whimsical elegance and classic Hollywood touch,” says Bergman.

The Details
Sacred Balinese, Indian and African objects from the couple’s travels decorated each table. “The centerpieces were copies of the design that we have in our dining room,” Bergman says. Guests wrote blessings on white satin ribbons that they tied to a large Balinese umbrella.

The Party
After an outdoor ceremony at the Gene Autry Residence, followed by cocktails on the patio, the eclectic mix of international guests danced under the grand circus-style tent to funk and house music.
