Charlotte Walker & Alex Langerman

June 30, 2012 | Room 1520 and Aérée Loft

Charlotte looked gorgeous in an Alençon and Chantilly lace Monique Lhuillier gown from Ultimate Bride and a vintage pin turned hair comb from The Left Bank. Alex donned a double-breasted tuxedo from Paul Stuart.

The bride’s bouquet by Hello Darling featured four kinds of roses mixed with fresh lavender sprigs and eucalyptus.

Charlotte’s mother-in-law gifted her this vintage handbag—her “something old.”

Silver mercury glass pillar candles and Hello Darling arrangements topped the tables for dinner in Aérée Loft.

The Couple
After a blind date at Mod Pizza in Bucktown, love bloomed for Charlotte and Alex over a mutual adoration of travel, good food and wine, live music, and time spent outdoors.

The Details
SQN Events honored the couple’s request for a “Southern charm-meets-city-chic” wedding. Boutique Bites circulated beaucoup bite-sized items, like lobster tacos, for the 160 guests.

The Party
Ensemble band The Party Faithful played the couple’s first song, “Everlasting Light” by The Black Keys. Later, Alex’s brother “Chicago Dan” took an amazing turn on the harmonica.
