Ledia Osmani & Miguel Valdez

December 31, 2011 | House of Blues

Ledia donned a French net veil from Mia Bridal Couture for the ceremony, and Miguel wore Banana Republic’s Mad Men collection.

The architect bride and her creative bridesmaid pal, Cali, designed and handcrafted the couple’s save-the-date cards, invitations and programs using materials from Texas Art Supply and Paper Source.

The couple’s rings dangled from the strap of Ledia’s gold Kate Spade bag. Her ring is from Blue Nile and Miguel’s was his grandfather’s band.

Ledia paired a trumpet- style lace Pronovias gown and belt from Houston Bridal Gallery with glimmering silver Jimmy Choos from Nordstrom.

WHY WE LOVE IT The rock ’n’ roll meets Mad Men theme had us at hello, while Ledia’s hands-on approach to invites and giant Champagne flute centerpieces—but hands-off approach to bridesmaid dresses—charmed us. Nods to her Albanian roots and Miguel’s Mexican heritage put their glam nuptials over the top.

THE VENUE The Bronze Peacock Room at Downtown’s House of Blues set the scene for a silver and gold color scheme “sparkly enough” for a New Year’s Eve ceremony and reception.

THE DETAILS The couple had a lasso ceremony, mariachis and a Theme Cakes by Traci cupcake tower with a boot and stiletto topper. They rang in 2012 with DJU Productions, and never left the party!
