It was a beautiful night at the Chicago Botanic Garden—perfect for the second annual Harvest Party.
THE PARTY At this year’s Harvest Party, guests gathered in the Krasberg Rose Garden on a warm autumn night to sip mulled pomegranate sangria and the event’s signature cocktail, Bee Bad, a fresh spin on the classic Bee’s Knees. Live music from the Goldmine Pickers filled the air as attendees snacked on small bites catered by Food for Thought. The Texas-style smoked-beef brisket and Detroit-style pizza were fan favorites. THE PEOPLE Chaired by Cory Daverman, Abby Dunn and Jennifer Morehead, the party had more than 200 guests celebrating the harvest and all the garden accomplished this year. THE PINNACLE Attendees raised $50,000 to benefit Windy City Harvest, the garden’s urban agriculture program that provides job-training education to help build a local food system and a healthier economy.
