We can’t wait to spark our tastebuds with innovative dim sum and southern-influenced Chinese favorites.

The Statler Hotel’s buzzy new resto, Fine China, opened this week with Chef Angela Hernandez at the helm focusing on contemporary American Chinese cuisine. The family-style menu is divided into multiple sections—think dim sum, cold dishes, rice & noodles, and large format plates—to be enjoyed in a communal setting. Hernandez pulled inspiration from her southern upbringing for dishes such as spicy chicken wings with Sama Sama sauce and bread & butter pickels and Cantonese roast duck. Fine China also offers a traditional tea service with a twist: cocktails are based off of the visual contrast and deep tradition of Asian tea services. Highlights include Sino-French Connection with dried limes, sage, hibiscus, and Takara Soju as well as the Pitch Black with activated charcoal. It’s just one of 44 reasons to fine dine in Dallas, as teased in our July/August Feast Issue. 1914 Commerce St., 214.459.3930
