The 10th edition of Passport to Luxury proved to be a spectacular night with delectable bites and endless cocktails and Champagne.
With over a 1,000 attendees, the 10th edition of the Passport to Luxury event at Ala Moana Center made ripples in social media and had the entire town talking. With a roster of over 20 luxury boutiques opening their doors to possibly the most dapper fold on the island, the event proved to be one of the biggest and grandest parties of the year.
The check-in line seemed endless (it wrapped around the mall), as people sparkled and eagerly waited to enter the Modern Luxury event. For a chosen few, celebrations started early at Neiman Marcus, where an exclusive VIP reception took place, complete with models donning Van Cleef & Arpels baubles. President and COO of Hawaii National Bank, Bryan Luke stopped by for a visit, and Modern Luxury Media President Alan Klein, who had flown in from L.A for the festivities, reunited with friends.
Though a drizzly night, guests were so occupied with chatter, drinks, shopping and outfit admiration that the drops between boutique visits were hardly noticed. Clutching their glasses for the plentiful pours—thanks to Christian Self of Bevy (who offered a siptacular rye whiskey cocktail) and Chandra Lucariello of Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits—there was still ample time to nibble on delicious bites made by notable chefs such as Marc Noguchi and Kevin Lee, as well as by Michael Mina’s Fish House and MW Restaurant, to name a few. As 9 o’clock approached, there was a mad rush to Center Stage, where winners were announced for the giveaways, which included Alaska Airlines round-trip tickets for two, an Ala Moana Center shopping-spree gift card for $500 and a luxurious two-night package at the Modern Honolulu.
