The Honolulu glitterati greeted Prada’s new men’s boutique
in inimitable style at a black-tie Champagne event at Ala Moana Center.
THE PARTY For the official invitation-only grand opening of the sleek new Prada men’s boutique at Ala Moana Center, a bevy of VIPs, socialites and fashion folks gathered in black-and-white finery to bump elbows and clink Champagne flutes amid the latest menswear from the venerable fashion house. THE GUESTS Hosts Erika Kauffman of EPR and Kelly Sanders of Highgate Hotels welcomed over 250 distinguished guests, including actor Daniel Dae Kim, author and tennis ace Rusty Komori, Honorary Consul of France Guillaume Maman, Princess Dialta Alliata di Montereale and the who’s who of Honolulu socialites and philanthropists. THE HIGHLIGHTS The festivities kicked off with a traditional Hawaiian blessing by Kahu Curt Kekuna, after which the boutique officially opened its doors and the bubbly began flowing. The buzzing vibe in the space only increased as the evening continued and the impeccably dressed crowd loosened up, mingling and snapping selfies against the backdrop of the shop’s modern mirrored walls and black and white tiles. -Margo Steines
