The 47-story Una residential tower is intended to feel fluid and dynamic, with a sculptured facade of clean modern lines and ribbon­like curves inspired by the sinuous teak decking on the iconic Riva yacht. Fort Lauderdale’s first Four Seasons breaks ground.

April saw the hotly anticipated groundbreaking of the Four Seasons Private Residences Fort Lauderdale. Such is the prestige of the brand that Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis was on hand to celebrate the first Four Seasons in the city as Jay Parker, CEO of the Douglas Elliman Florida brokerage, spoke at the event. Elliman is handling sales of the oceanfront property, which features 90 residences from one to four bedrooms (priced from $3.1 million). Units will range from 780 square feet to more than 6,000 square feet—plus a trio of two-story Sky Homes boasting dramatic 20-foot ceilings. Designers who landed the plum interior assignments include Tara Bernerd, Kobi Karp, Martin Brudnizki and Fernando Wong.

Aria on the Bay is sure to up the glam quotient on Bayshore Drive.

For the first time, Morada Haute Furniture Boutique, the incomparably stylish Miami branded showroom, is outfitting a residential tower (lobby, party room and model unit), and what an entrance into the market it is: Aria on the Bay, the Miami tower designed by none other than Arquitectonica. Once sales and construction launched in 2015, headlines followed: Baseball superstar Giancarlo Stanton, the Yankee slugger who was recently named the National League’s Most Valuable Player, bought one of Aria’s triplex penthouses in 2017. He’s not the only celebrity to bet on Aria—Grammy Award-winning record producer and rapper Timbaland purchased two units at the building late last year. Penthouse 4603 in 100 Las Olas promises to be one of the most stunning aeries in South Florida when the building opens at the end in 2019. Kolter Urban and OneWorld Properties are releasing the only two-story penthouse new to the market in the Downtown area, priced at $5.999 million and featuring 5,154 square feet of living space. Containing four bedrooms, a den, and four and a half baths, the penthouse spans the top two floors (45th and 46th) of Fort Lauderdale’s tallest building. Award-winning firm Simeone Deary and celebrated Palm Beach designer Bob Martin collaborated to create the interiors for the undulating glass and steel tower, which will be home to 121 residences, 238 hotel rooms, fine dining and retail.
