Textile maven Caitlin Wilson sets up shop in Dallas.

Caitlin Wilson’s new Dallas store features a flower shop at the entry and a design studio in back.

“I never imagined moving to Texas,” says Caitlin Wilson, “and I love it.” The textile and interior designer—whose cheerful and inspiring Instagram account boasts more than 180,000 followers—grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and has lived in London, Hong Kong and, most recently, Portland, Ore. But a visit to Dallas last year left the mom of four and her husband thinking they could use a change. That was in January. By August, they had found a house in Highland Park, and in November, Caitlin Wilson Design Shop opened its doors on Henderson Avenue. The 4,200-square-foot shop is Wilson’s second storefront, and like the San Francisco original, it showcases her line of colorful fabrics, rugs, pillows, wallpaper, furniture, lighting, bedding and more. Look for bistro chairs in Wilson’s signature buffalo check ($238), her best-selling Kismet rug (8 feet by 10 feet for $2,150), patterned pillows galore and a brand-new fabric called Highland Floral—a subtle nod to the designer’s latest home base. 2923 N.
