For the Cure

In honor (and celebration) of breast cancer awareness month, we’ve rounded up some BCA events around town where you can primp, party and workout for a great cause.

Lace up your sneakers for breast cancer awareness walks and more.

1. Susan G. Komen 3-Day
These boobs were made for walking in the three-day 60-mile walk to end breast cancer. Striders raise a minimum of $2,300 for the cause and awareness with every step along the way. And on that bright-pink-tented campground by Bank of America? Just meals, showers, foot massages and fun. Oct. 18-20, Stone Mountain Park, 7:30pm, $35,

2. Clip for the Cure
Before you grow that ’stache for Movember prostate cancer awareness, lose your locks for BCA at 16 participating salons across the A. Ten percent of proceeds from these and 7,000 other salons nationwide will be donated to the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. Trim it to win it! Oct. 19, multiple locations,

3. Pretty in Pink
Party while showing your support for BCA at Buckhead hot spot Havana Club’s Pretty in Pink soiree. Don your best pink attire; sip Champagne; snag a self-exam card; and enter to win giveaways while rubbing elbows with ATL’s hottest guys and girls about town. Oct. 18, Havana Club, 8pm,

4. Paint the Town Pink Charity Gala
Bring on the blushing beauty for this charity gala by the Mary L. & Walter Johnson III Foundation Inc. to support breast cancer fighters and survivors while honoring those who have bravely lost their battle with the disease. Cost of tickets benefit the American Cancer Society Making Strides division and the Winn-Dixie Hope Lodge – Atlanta. Oct. 26, Renaissance Waverly Hotel – Vinings, 6:30pm, $140,

5. Making Strides of Atlanta, Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of GA
Lace up for and lash out against BC with 15,000 of your breast friends when the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 3-mile walk strolls through Downtown, expecting to raise upward of $1.3 million for the fight. Ready to battle? Oct. 26, Centennial Olympic Park, 9am, $25,
