The Songs of Our Lives

6:30 pm

The 9th annual “The Songs of Our Lives” concert to benefit the Fulfillment Fund will be hosted at the beautiful Eli and Edythe Broad Stage at the Santa Monica Performing Arts Center. A star-studded lineup of singers and songwriters will perform their original music in an intimate setting and discuss their inspiration behind the writing of these popular hits. The proceeds from the evening will go to the Fulfillment Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping middle and high school students overcome obstacles to achieve a life-changing college education.

Award-winning songwriter Charles Fox, a longtime Fulfillment Fund board member, along with his wife, Joan, created “The Songs of Our Lives” concert as an opportunity for entertainment and philanthropy to come together in support of the Fulfillment Fund’s important work within the community.

This year’s lineup includes performances by: Artie Butler (“Here’s to Life” “I’ll Never Find Another You” “One More Time”), Mac Davis (“In the Ghetto” “Baby Don’t Get Hooked Me” “Stop and Smell the Roses”) Charles Fox (“Killing Me Softly” “I Got A Name” “Ready to Take A Chance Again”), Dr. Dee & The BYTHAX Choir, and Bill Withers and Kori Withers (“Ain’t No Sunshine” “Lean On Me”). The evening will be hosted by actor, comedian and writer Fred Willard.
