Local interior designer Adam Hunter takes us on a journey through Nashville, Tenn.

“Nashville is fun. I love the people—there’s such a great energy,” says L.A.-based interior designer Adam Hunter, who, due to a large estate project, has been traveling to the city regularly for the past three years. “The design scene in Nashville definitely has its differences,” he explains. “There’s more natural wood and stone; wrought iron is used [prominently]; and dark colors are used more often then... in L.A.” Here, the former Broadway star—who recently launched a line with The Rug Company—shares some of his favorite Music City spots.

HAVE DINNER
Josephine (615.292.7766) is a hidden gem in 12South, one of my favorite areas in Nashville.”

GRAB LUNCH
“A chic and hidden lunch spot is Hemingway’s (615.915.1715). They have a great menu, and the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood is charming.”

SIP COFFEE
“I love the hustle and bustle of Milk & Honey. It isn’t a strict coffeehouse, but our meetings are productive here. The lavender honey latte is divine.”

SPLURGE ON ACCESSORIES
“The Peter Nappi store is my dream. There is so much leather and [so many great] things to shop for: shoes, clothes, belts, bags and jewelry.”

SPA DAY
“I don’t have the pleasure to go to a spa when on the job; however, I’ve heard that Escape Day Spa (615.352.3545) is phenomenal and the interior is cute. If there were only more hours in the day!”
